John McEntee appears in a TikTok video from the conservative dating app The Right Stuff, holding a bundle of plastic straws in an In-N-Out restaurant. A caption on screen reads, “Liberals stealing all the plastic straws to save the turtles 🐢,” reflecting the satirical, anti-liberal tone of the account’s content.

JUN 8, 2023 — Before he was vetting the future of American government, John McEntee was launching footballs in viral YouTube videos. But his transformation from trick-shot quarterback to Trump’s “deputy president” didn’t end with the Oval Office. After founding a dating app for conservatives and becoming a TikTok personality, McEntee reemerged as a central figure in Project 2025—handpicking loyalists for a future right-wing presidency. With a resume that straddles fame, politics, and digital culture, McEntee is shaping a new kind of power broker: meme-savvy, loyalty-obsessed, and unapologetically ideological.
